Brazilian handicraft is very rich in colors and shapes, presenting outstanding characteristics such as the geographical representation of each piece and the wide variety of products. This is due to the cultural diversity of the Brazilian people, which comes from the influence of the Indian, the African-American and the European, as well as the great abundance of primary natural resources. The variety of Brazilian handicraft products is impressive by its beauty. The most diverse types of primary natural resources are molded with great creativity, from ceramics (marajoara, terracota, figurative and sculptural), to fibers (cotton, sisal, corn and banana trees), stones (limestone, quartzite), wood, metal, fabric and many others. The history of Brazilian handicraft contributes to bring value and constantly improve the work of integration between man, environment and primary natural resources, transforming it into the most pure and prime form handicraft.
